. Mgr  Amancio Chiario - Wago   [polish]
      An Indian from Kuna tribe; he was born in 1952 on Ustupu Island, San Blas Comarca Kuna Yala Archipelago, Panama. He graduated from Academy of Physical Education in Wroclaw, Poland. In Panama he had worked as a teacher and as a planner in Ministry of Planning and Economic Policy. From 1989 Amancio has been living in Poland, including 10 years in Wroclaw. Apart from work at school he occupied himself there with disabled children and teenager's physical activity. Presently he works as a teacher of physical education and corrective gymnastics in Primary School in Gestowice (Lubuskie). He lives with his family in Krosno Odrzanskie and has two daughters: Wahili Teresa and Yogili Anna.
      In his paintings and graphics he presents mostly life, traditions and customs of Kuna Indians. Moreover he shows the world of other Indian tribes from both Americas, focusing his attention on symbols of violence and compulsion of native inhabitants. Amancio uses full colours, which, as he says, are offered to all of us by Napguana, i.e. Mother Earth.
      From 1992 he has presented his works on exhibitions in many community centres in Poland and abroad.
